Overview This page contains selected region-wide transportation GIS data for the Windham Region. Some data are merely standard VGIS (Vermont Geographic Information System) data layers clipped to the region boundary, while other data have been developed by the Commission and are not available from other sources. Several WRC data layers are available as event tables that can be applied to the VGIS coverage RDSLRS (or in one case to DUAL_LRS) using dynamic segmentation to produce an Arc/Info point or line coverage. These data use a town-based route system (the original VGIS/AOT routing system available at the time), not the current end-to-end based routing system. For some line data, separate event tables were developed for each side of the road (north/east and south/west); hence the NE or SE suffix.

Rte. 30 Speed Limit signs	RTE30\SPEEDLIM_NB & SPEEDLIM_SB	Locations of speed limit signs on Route 30 from the south end of Newfane village to the north (west) end of Bondville village. Bike/Ped Improvement Priorities	BP_PRIOR	Proposed roadway improvements for bicyclists and pedestrians in the Region. From the Windham Regional Bike/Pedestrian Plan, July 21, 2000. Priorities are based on a combination of existing conditions including high traffic volumes, narrow shoulders, a high number of trip generators and a high number of crashes. | VGIS documentation | [LINE coverage]
Proposed Park & Ride lots	PARKRIDE	Recommended park and ride locations in the Region based on Park and Ride System Recommendations study by Windham Regional Commission, September 1995. Local Bus Routes	BUSLOCAL	Coverage BUSLOCAL contains the locations of local fixed-route public transit bus service in the Windham Region. This includes the SEVCA Town and Village Bus's Bellows Falls Route, the Brattleboro Town Bus, and Deerfield Valley Transit Association's MOOver (MOOver routes include those operated only during the winter ski season). | VGIS documentation | FGDC metadata | [LINE coverage]
Intercity Bus Routes	BUSINTER	Coverage BUSINTER contains the locations of inter-city bus routes in the Windham Region. The only service provider is Vermont Transit. wo routes pass through the region, and each serves Brattleboro and Bellows Falls (see coveage of public transit stations for locations of these stops). | VGIS documentation | [LINE coverage]

Public Transit Stations	PUBTPT	This coverage contains point location of public transit stations in the Windham Region. 1996 Sufficiency Data	SUFF96WR	This coverage contains 1996 sufficiency ratings for federal and state highways in the Windham Region. It was produced by WRC using AOT spreadsheet data entered into an event table and applied against RDSLRS. This coverage was produced as the original VGIS SUFF96 coverage had many omissions due to porting errors. | [LINE coverage]
Town Bridges	BRIDGES\ WRCTOWN	This coverage contains point locations for all long (>20 feet) and short (6-20 feet) town bridges in the Region. All bridges are coded with a town name and bridge number. Attributes from 1994(?) for long town bridges only. (originally WRCBRDG2) | [POINT coverage]
Arterials & Collectors	FUNCL	This coverage contains all arterial and collector highways (non-local functional class highways) in the region. It's simply an extraction of these roads from the master road centerline data. Needs to be updated to 2000. | [LINE coverage]
Crosswalks	X_WALK	Crosswalk locations on arterials and selected major collectors, DRAFT. Multiple crosswalks at intersections are represented by only one point.
