Overview

This page contains selected GIS data layers for covering the Route 30 corridor that are applicable to the Route 30 Corridor Study. The Corridor being examined is Route 30 from Brattleboro, Bennington County, to the intersection of Route 11 in Winhall, Bennington County.


Available Data

AADT Annual average daily traffic for Rte. 30, updated to 1996 with actual and estimated values.
AADTADJ Annual average daily traffic for major roads that intersect Route 30.
DYNSEG Data on shoulder width and condition for for each side of Route 30. Also contains a generalized width value averaging both sides of the road.
LANDUSE Generalized land use (commercial, forested, open, residential, village) for the area immediately adjacent to Route 30. Land use is represented cartographically as polygons extending 300 meters back from Route 30.
LU_100 Same as LANDUSE, but data is represented cartographically as polygons extending 100 meters back from Route 30.
N30_n/S30_n Access points along Route 30. 'N' signifies north side of road; 'S' signifies south side of road; 'n' signifies the offset from Route 30 that these points are placed (5 meters, 25 meters, or 100 meters). Access points are coded as to the type of use they serve: commercial, residential, civic, roads, home-business, unknown, farm/agriculture, pull-off.
SIDEWALK.SHP Cartographic shape file of generalized sidewalk locations.
SFTYIMP Proposed safety improvements for the corridor. Note: no attributes! Only point locations. Refer to maps in the report for more information.
TRUCKCT2 truck volumes based on AOT class counts, updated to 1996 with actual and estimated values. Available only for certain segments of Route 30 and adjacent, intersecting roads.
