2) Studies Regarding Some Impacts of Vermont Yankee Re-Licensing Decisions
The VT Department of Public Service has placed some of the study reports regarding Vermont Yankee,
conducted pursuant to Act 160 of 2006, on its website for public review. Not all studies are completed,
but those that are complete have been submitted to the Public Service Board as Department testimony
in the relicensing case and thus subject to discovery and cross-examination by other parties in the
case. The reports are posted on the web at

Testimony of Scott Albert -
“Mr. Albert analyzes the potential impacts of not relicensing the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Plant.
He looks at the impacts on the transmission and distribution system, power markets and pricing,
energy and demand, and environmental concerns. He also explains the differences between several
potential power replacement portfolios.”

“Dr. Jacobs describes the decommissioning requirements for Vermont Yankee and provides an analysis
of the adequacy of the decommissioning fund given reasonable assumptions for the escalation of

“Mr. Mullett identifies and analyzes the principal implications of continued operation of Vermont
